Overview
Police in Vietnam have successfully intervened in multiple suicide attempts across different provinces.
In early September, authorities in Thanh Hoa Province prevented a woman from attempting suicide at Cong Len Bridge. Officers used persuasion to calm the individual, who was reportedly experiencing mental instability due to family conflicts, before returning her to her family.
Later in the month, police responded to two separate incidents. In Hanoi, officers at Nhat Tan Bridge persuaded a woman holding a small child to abandon an attempt. In Quang Ngai province, police and local residents rescued a female student from the water after she jumped from the Tra Khuc 2 Bridge following school-related conflicts.
