Polish FlyEye UAV training expansion

Overview

In late July 2026 the Centre for UAV Personnel Training at the Polish Military Aviation Academy received WB Group accreditation for the FlyEye unmanned aerial system, confirming that its facilities and instructors meet the manufacturer’s standards. The certification enabled the academy to run specialised courses for Polish operators and foreign users, including personnel from Ukraine.

A few days later, in early August 2026, soldiers of the 11th Małopolska Territorial Defence Brigade began round‑the‑clock training on the same FlyEye system, focusing on real‑time image transmission and operator proficiency for hybrid‑threat scenarios. The Air Force Academy in Dęblin also obtained WB Group accreditation to teach FlyEye operator courses, further broadening national training capabilities for the drone that has served the Polish Armed Forces for sixteen years and is exported abroad.
