Polish heritage tourism promotion

Poland is highlighting its rich cultural and natural heritage to boost tourism. In the Holy Cross (Świętokrzyskie) Voivodeship, authorities promote a blend of prehistoric sites, medieval castles, early‑modern palaces and industrial monuments, along with natural attractions such as the oldest European mountains, limestone formations, the Raj Cave and the century‑old “Crawling Pine”. The region markets extensive cycling routes, climbing walls and the picturesque Ponidzie valley, dubbed “Polish Tuscany”.

At the same time, new features spotlight historic estates and castles across the country. A 19th‑century manor in Suchorz, Pomerania, is showcased for its surviving clock‑tower and the legacy of its noble owners. Additionally, a newly released book about Książ Castle in Lower Silesia expands the narrative to the lives of the servants who tended the castle, offering a social‑history perspective on the famed Hochberg family residence. Together, these initiatives underline a coordinated effort to present Poland’s historic sites and landscapes as compelling tourist destinations.
