Polish municipal preschool development

Overview

In late July 2026, Wrocław began construction of an eco‑friendly preschool in the Nowy Dwór district, designed with a green roof, photovoltaic panels, heat‑pump heating and extensive landscaping. The facility, planned for 200 children, is slated for completion in September 2027 with an opening the following year.

A week later, municipal authorities in Pruszków and Marki reported that their new early‑childhood centres were nearing completion. Pruszków’s Municipal Preschool No. 9 will also serve 200 children and includes specialist rooms, a climate‑controlled environment and a modern kitchen. Marki’s childcare complex, opening on 1 September, will provide almost 300 places and combines a nursery with a preschool, featuring specialist offices and a secure play area. Both projects were financed partly through the National Recovery Plan, reflecting a broader push in Poland to expand and modernise early‑childhood education facilities with contemporary, sustainable designs.
