The Polish government is implementing structural and financial reforms regarding the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). Initially, the Ministry of Finance drafted legislation to centralize debt collection authority. This reform aims to strip 43 regional directors of their enforcement powers, transferring sole administrative enforcement responsibility to the President of ZUS to equalize workloads and allow for the transfer of cases between branches.
