The outlets reported alleged fiscal irregularities without providing evidence to counter official denials, prompting the regulator to reject an immediate right‑to‑correction request while underscoring the public‑interest nature of the story.

Together, the two rulings illustrate ERC’s broader effort to enforce advertising rules and uphold journalistic rigor across Portuguese media.
