The Portuguese television market continued to see shifts in programming performance through late September 2026. TVI’s new program ‘Roda da Sorte’, hosted by Cristina Ferreira, experienced fluctuating viewership following its debut. While the show initially led its time slot, it faced stiff competition from RTP1 and SIC. On September 22, ‘Roda da Sorte’ recorded a 5.4% rating and a 14.2% share, placing it third behind RTP1’s ‘O Preço Certo’ (6.2% rating) and SIC’s ‘Casados à Primeira Vista VII’ (5.5% rating). Although the program stabilized slightly on September 23 with a 14.3% share, it remained in third place, as RTP1’s ‘O Preço Certo’ maintained dominance with a 6.6% rating and 17.4% share. By September 25, ‘Roda da Sorte’ saw a decline, hitting its lowest performance since debut with a 4.6% rating and 12.5% share, leaving TVI in third place for the 7:00 PM slot. In response to shifting dynamics, TVI announced the launch of ‘Fora do Baralho’, a new six-hour Saturday program hosted by Manuel Luís Goucha and João Patrício. By October 3, ‘Roda da Sorte’ had stabilized with an average rating of 5.4% over ten broadcasts, though it continued to trail RTP1’s ‘O Preço Certo’. Meanwhile, the debut of ‘Fora do Baralho’ saw a decline in its second episode, dropping to a 3.3% rating and 8.5% share. During the same period, SIC’s ‘Talentos em Grande – Especial’ recorded its season low with a 2.5% rating and 6.6% share.
