Posthumous television releases of Luna Jordan

Overview

Following the unexpected death of 25-year-old Berlin-born actress Luna Jordan in May, the German broadcaster ZDF has announced the upcoming release of her final works.

The near-future drama series ‘Wake Up’, based on J. K. Messum’s novel ‘Husk’, is scheduled to debut on the ZDF Mediathek on October 23. The six-part series, which features Jordan in the lead role of Emilia, previously received the Bernd Burgemeister Television Award for best TV series at the Munich Film Festival.

Additionally, Jordan will appear for the last time in the sixth season of the crime series ‘Jenseits der Spree’, beginning October 16. The episode featuring her character, Stella, will include a tribute reading, ‘In loving memory of Luna Jordan’, to acknowledge the actress's passing.
