PRI electoral success in Coahuila local elections

Overview

Following the June 7, 2026, local congress elections in Coahuila, the Electoral Institute of Coahuila (IEC) confirmed the definitive vote counts. The PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) emerged as the most voted party, securing 648,948 votes. Despite the Electoral Tribunal annulling 11 polling stations due to inconsistencies, the IEC determined that the final winners and seat distribution remained unchanged, maintaining the majority status of the PRI and UDC alliance.

In response to these results, the PRI leadership in Coahuila held a Municipal Political Council in Ramos Arizpe to honor local members. State president Carlos Robles Loustaunau recognized the party's 16-0 victory in the state's electoral districts, attributing the success to the collective efforts of the party's base, including youth, women, and territorial leaders.
