Primavera Sound festival expansion in South America

Overview

The Primavera Sound music festival is expanding its footprint in South America with scheduled 2026 editions in Argentina and Brazil.

In Buenos Aires, the festival is set for November 28 and 29 at the Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires, featuring a lineup that includes Gorillaz, The Strokes, FKA twigs, Lily Allen, and Courtney Barnett. This expansion occurs amidst broader industry debates regarding the legal tensions between residents' rights to quiet and the constitutional rights to cultural access and artistic creation.

In São Paulo, the festival will take place on December 5 and 6 at the Autódromo de Interlagos. The organizers have announced an exclusive lineup for the Brazilian edition, featuring artists such as The Strokes, Gorillaz, Lily Allen, Courtney Barnett, Cara Delevingne, Arca, and Yung Lean, who will not be performing other shows in the country during that period.
