Prishtina Children's Book Festival and Fair
Overview
The fourth Children’s Book Festival and Fair launched in Prishtina, running for five days at the Zahir Pajaziti Square Amphitheater. Organized by ETEA and the ‘Hivzi Sylejmani’ Library, the event included STEM workshops, book promotions, and interactive sessions such as ‘A Day with Firefighters’. The fair featured publications from Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia, aiming to address low reading habits in the region.
The festival concluded with a record attendance of over 20,000 visitors. The event featured approximately 15 publishing houses and included a ‘Write, Draw and Win’ competition hosted by the Dukagjini publishing house, which invited children from across Kosovo to submit essays, fairy tales, or drawings.
