Procar 4000 racing event in 9 de Julio

Overview

The Procar 4000 racing series is preparing for its eighth round of the 2026 season at the Guillermo ‘Yoyo’ Maldonado Autodrome in 9 de Julio, marking the start of the category’s Play Off.

Initial announcements detailed a multi-category schedule including Formula 1, SPA, TC Platense, Procar 4000 (Classes A and B), and Procar 2000. Driver Fernando Laiglecia, competing in Class B with a Chevrolet, noted his confidence in the circuit despite not qualifying for the Play Off. Subsequent updates confirmed the official driver lineup for the weekend, with Class A and Class B each featuring 26 registered drivers utilizing Dodge, Chevrolet, Ford, and Torino vehicles.

As the event weekend begins, teams have arrived at the Autódromo Ciudad de 9 de Julio to set up structures and boxes. During Procar 4000 practice sessions, Emanuel Tiki Perez Bravo established dominance in the Class A division, recording a time of 1min 36sec 974/1000 on Friday.

Other regional motorsport activities have faced adjustments; due to rain, the Turismo Promocional race in Junín has been postponed and is now scheduled to take place at the 9 de Julio racetrack on October 17 and 18.
