PSOE transport funding demands in Ourense

Overview

In Ourense, the Socialist Party of Galicia (PSdeG) has called on the Xunta to allocate dedicated funding for metropolitan transport within the 2027 regional budget. Local party leadership, including mayoral candidate Natalia González, argued that current infrastructure reflects “decades of inequality” compared to other provinces.

The party is advocating for the implementation of eight projected transit lines and trial periods to improve service. Furthermore, officials have urged the Xunta to finance the majority of the service and requested that public employment opportunities be better aligned with transport schedules to support workers in nearby industrial zones.
