Overview

Public health services and preventative medical initiatives are being expanded across Argentina and Uruguay.

In Argentina, local municipalities and private groups have introduced new facilities and mobile units. Salta launched a second mobile dental unit to provide oral health coverage for residents without medical insurance, while Pergamino inaugurated a new outpatient clinic featuring over ten medical specialties. Additionally, the Centro de Atención Médica Municipal (CAMM) N° 3 in the Ampliación Primero de Mayo neighborhood has updated its service schedule for clinical medicine, dentistry, obstetrics, pediatrics, and ophthalmology.

In Uruguay, CAMOC is conducting free blood pressure screenings in Carmelo, Nueva Palmira, Ombúes de Lavalle, and Conchillas as part of Heart Week to promote early detection of health issues.
