Public perception of Indonesian cabinet performance

Overview

Public perception surveys regarding the performance of President Prabowo Subianto’s Red and White Cabinet have highlighted several ministers with low satisfaction ratings.

A late September 2026 survey by Vox Politica Research identified seven ministers with the least satisfactory performance. Among them, Nusron Wahid received the highest negative salience at 41.5 percent, followed by Raja Juli Antoni, Natalius Pigai, and Agus Andrianto.

By October 2026, a separate evaluation by Matriks Politik Indonesia regarding the first two years of the Prabowo-Gibran administration reported significantly higher negative ratings for certain officials. Human Rights Minister Natalius Pigai received a negative rating of 82.6 percent, attributed to controversies and legal challenges from ministry employees. Agrarian Affairs Minister Nusron Wahid received a negative rating of 78.3 percent, linked to a Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigation into alleged bribery involving land use rights in Bogor Regency. Wahid has reportedly missed two summons to testify as a witness, citing ministerial duties.

A subsequent survey by Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) conducted in mid-October 2026 provided different rankings. In this assessment, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni was ranked as the worst-performing minister with 36.6 percent, followed by Natalius Pigai at 21.8 percent and Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo at 9.4 percent. Conversely, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman received the highest performance rating at 33.0 percent.
