Public transport infrastructure developments in Poland

Overview

Public transportation infrastructure and services are undergoing various upgrades and expansions across Poland. In Wrocław, the ‘Wrocław chooses the tram’ project is moving forward with a 3 billion PLN investment plan involving new trams and a new depot. Simultaneously, PKP Intercity has initiated a tender to modernize its Pendolino fleet, and Koleje Dolnośląskie has increased its order for new diesel-electric trains.

In the Warsaw metropolitan area, connectivity is being improved through bus line extensions and reorganized passenger communication. Specifically, bus line 755 is being extended to provide better access to the M1 metro line, while the Radzymin municipality is restoring and reorganizing several bus routes and introducing new lines following road accessibility improvements.
