Reports of safety concerns and misconduct within public transportation systems have emerged across several countries. In Paraguay, a passenger with a disability reported mistreatment by Line 11 bus drivers in Areguá, alleging they refused preferential seating and bypassed stops. The Vice Ministry of Transport indicated that the service provider, Bene SA, could face fines if these allegations are proven. In Mexico, transit issues have ranged from security concerns among students in Morelos to physical violence in Puebla. Students traveling to the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos reported safety risks following a bus diversion.
