Puerto Flamenco tour in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Overview

The Seville-based ensemble Puerto Flamenco is scheduled to tour Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the Dansar Dance and Art Festival. The tour features their spectacle ‘PURO’, which integrates cante (singing), toque (guitar), and baile (dance) through a mix of choreography and improvisation.

Performances are set for Mostar on September 17 at the Herceg Stjepan Kosača Croatian Home, Sarajevo on September 19 at the Bosnian Cultural Center, and Tuzla on September 20 at the Bosnian Cultural Center. Additionally, co-founder and dancer Francesca ‘La Chica’ Grima is slated to lead a masterclass in Sarajevo on September 18. Co-founder and percussionist Andrej Vujičić noted that the performance utilizes high technical skill and complex rhythms to facilitate spontaneous moments on stage.
