Puglia commemoration of Guglielmo Minervini

Overview

In late July and early August 2026 the Regional Council of Puglia held a series of public events to mark the tenth anniversary of former mayor of Molfetta and regional youth‑policy minister Guglielmo Minervini’s death on 2 August 2016. The ceremony, staged in the council’s plenary hall on 3 August, was opened by Council President Toni Mattarelli and attended by Minervini’s family, including his son Niccolò and his wife Maria Turtur, who leads the Guglielmo Minervini APS association. Regional President Antonio Decaro, council members and local officials paid tribute to Minervini’s contributions to participatory governance, youth empowerment and social innovation, citing programmes such as “Bollenti Spiriti”.
