The impasse between student protesters and the Hemant Soren government has escalated following the government’s decision to cancel numerous recruitment examinations conducted by the JPSC, JSSC, and the agency TSR Data Processing Private Limited (TDPL) since 2014. On August 18, the government moved to cancel 44 recruitment tests and ordered investigations by the CID and SIT into 23 other examinations.
