Ratingen Fire Department operations and training

Overview

The Ratingen Fire Department has engaged in both international operational support and internal personnel development.

In early August 2026, three members of the department returned to Germany following a two-day deployment in Spain. Upon their return, the GFFF-V module team began inspecting and repairing the tank fire-truck used during the mission to restore operational readiness.

Later in the month, the department celebrated the graduation of two trainees, Aileen Stöcker and Lucius Hanne, from their three-year paramedic training at the Fire and Rescue Service Academy in Bocholt. Stöcker is set to serve as a member of an ambulance crew within the Ratingen Fire Department.
