Red Star Belgrade sports performance

Red Star Belgrade's athletic departments experienced varied results in international competitions. In football, the club secured a 2-2 draw against Copenhagen in the UEFA Conference League at the Rajko Mitić Stadium. While the team controlled possession, head coach Albert Riera noted issues with finishing and defensive discipline, particularly following a stoppage-time red card for Stefan Gudelj.

In judo, the Red Star Belgrade team has established a consistent presence as Champions League runners-up. The club recently secured its third consecutive and fifth overall runner-up title in Paris. In the final, the Serbian squad, led by captain Nemanja Majdov, narrowly lost to defending champions Paris Saint-Germain with a score of 4:3. The team reached the final after defeating ACBB Boulogne 4:3 in the quarterfinals and Judo Nice Métropole 4:1 in the semifinals.

Club president Stojan Vujko praised the athletes' efforts, noting that while the team gave their maximum, they were “just short of the championship title.” Vujko also highlighted upcoming regional competitions, including the European Mixed Championships and the European Inclusive Judo Championships, to be hosted by the Judo Federation of Serbia in November.
