Regional administrative and political developments in Brazil

Overview

In late October 2026, Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul introduced new administrative and social policies. Rio de Janeiro reorganized its State Secretariat for Economic Development through Resolution SEDES nº 217 to improve governance in sectors such as industry, energy, and innovation.
