Regional infrastructure and economic updates

Regional developments in Spain, Argentina, and Mexico continue to focus on infrastructure, energy, and economic support.

In Spain, efforts have expanded toward digital transformation. Cajaviva and the Fundación Caja Rural de Burgos are introducing Bizum Pay and technological training, such as FPV drone courses, to support the local agro-food sector. This follows previous mobility and commerce investments in Tenerife, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote.

In Argentina, Enersa has officially launched a tender for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Federación Industrial Park. The project aims to manage peak consumption and reduce reliance on diesel-based generation. The system will utilize “grid-forming” technology to assist with electrical stability, voltage and frequency regulation, and “black start” capabilities. Enersa President Uriel Brupbacher stated the initiative aligns with provincial goals to provide competitive and high-quality energy.

In Mexico, economic and industrial activities remain active. The Fresnillo Fair reported a preliminary economic impact exceeding 115 million pesos, attracting over 260,000 visitors. Additionally, the government of Zacatecas is collaborating with the Jalisco Automotive Cluster to strengthen industrial capabilities, while San Luis Potosí has renewed coordination with the Union of Users of the Industrial Zone (UUZI) to support industrial growth and investment.
