Various literary and human rights awards have been presented across the Balkan region.
In late August, Dejan Ilić and Obrad Nenezić were named joint winners of the 2026 Risto Ratković Award for the best poetry book in Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ilić was recognized for ‘Pokopani rt’, while Nenezić was honored for ‘Happy end… za tužni završetak’.
In September, additional regional honors were announced. In Serbia, Ivan Nešić received the Stanislav Lem Prize for his contributions to genre fiction.
