Overview

Regional authorities are addressing various security and logistical challenges across South America. In Peru, General Wilson Villalobos Olortegui reported a severe deficit in police vehicles, motorcycles, and outboard motors in San Martín, which limits emergency response and rural patrolling; authorities have committed to providing new vehicles by November.
