Regional sports awards and training in Spain

Various sports federations and associations in Spain have held ceremonies to recognize athletic achievement and community contributions.

In Ceuta, the Ceuta Basketball Federation (FBC) hosted its third annual gala at the Antonio Campoamor sports center to honor players, coaches, clubs, and institutions. The ceremony recognized contributors such as the club with the most licenses, referees, and local businesses, while also introducing initiatives for the 2026-27 season, including youth development schools and 3x3 tournaments.

Concurrently, the Royal Football Federation of Ceuta (RFFCE) has begun participating in the first Inclusive Football Technician Course organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Represented by Iván Chaves and Fran Vázquez, the federation is engaging in this program, sponsored by Vicente del Bosque, to train professionals in managing sports for people with disabilities. The training, which combines online and in-person sessions through March, focuses on specialized methodologies, health, and creating safe environments for adapted sports.

In Andalusia, Córdoba held the 26th Onda Cero Sports Gala, while the Association of Granadan Sports Journalists hosted its 34th annual ceremony in Granada. The Granada event honored several notable athletes, including world record holder María Pérez and Olympic medalist Ana Alonso, while providing recognition for clubs, coaches, and adapted sports.
