The new outlet will be part of the Népszava media group, integrating content from the long-standing publication Népszava to create a unified platform. The original closure of Népszabadság in 2016 was subject to suspension by Mediaworks cited economic reasons, including a 74 percent decline in circulation and significant accumulated losses.
