Release of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Overview

Arc System Works announced the development of Tokon, a new Marvel-themed fighting game featuring a 4-on-4 combat format. During the initial development phase, producer Takeshi Yamanaka and director Kazutoshi Sekine focused on balancing technical expertise with the intellectual property requirements of the Marvel universe.

Following its development, the game, titled ‘Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls’, was released on PS5 and PC. The final product features a stylized oriental art style and a starting roster of 20 characters, continuing a lineage of Marvel fighting games that dates back to the 1990s.
