Sun Pictures has confirmed that the Tamil film ‘Jailer 2’, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15, 2026. The announcement of the release date included a poster featuring Rajinikanth, intended to address rumors of production delays. Promotional efforts have expanded through the release of character teasers. These teasers introduce cast members such as Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep and SJ Suryah as Bodhi Kalpak. Rajinikanth returns as Muthuvel Pandian, joined by an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Vidya Balan.
