In Senegal, religious and political leaders have focused on social cohesion and infrastructure. To manage the influx of millions of pilgrims, Sonatel is deploying technical upgrades, including increased 5G, 4G+, and 3G capacities, mobile base stations, and expanded fiber optic access in centers like Tivaouane, Kaolack, and Ndiassane. The telecommunications group is also distributing water and medical supplies. Additionally, the common good DER/FJ is engaging with religious communities in Tivaouane to maintain national stability. support local economic initiatives and entrepreneurship for women and youth.
