Residential burglaries in Armenia

Overview

Armenian criminal police arrested two men, aged 38 and 48, suspected of conducting a series of residential burglaries in the capital and surrounding regions.

The suspects allegedly targeted homes while occupants were away at wedding celebrations. Following an operation involving the Aragatsotn and Ararat regional branches, law enforcement intercepted the suspects near Mughni and Karbi villages. During a search near Karbi, a gold-colored necklace was recovered.

Victims reported that their homes were ransacked and jewelry was stolen. Investigators have linked the pair to five additional burglaries, and the investigation remains ongoing.
