Residential fires in Singapore

Overview

Residential fires occurred in various Singaporean neighborhoods during September 2026.

On 5 September, a fire at a two-storey landed property on Simon Lane in Kovan required the use of three water jets to extinguish. The blaze caused partial damage to an adjacent house and led to the evacuation of approximately 30 people. One neighbor was hospitalized for smoke inhalation, and a firefighter sustained a sprained ankle.

Later in the month, two separate fires occurred at HDB flats. On 22 September, black smoke was observed at Block 254 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, resulting in the evacuation of about 20 residents and the hospitalization of two residents for smoke inhalation. On 28 September, a fire in a sixth-floor living room at Block 126 Pending Road in Bukit Panjang led to the evacuation of approximately 70 residents. During that incident, firefighters performed CPR on an unconscious individual before transporting them to Woodlands Hospital, while another neighbor was treated for smoke inhalation. The causes of the HDB fires remain under investigation.
