In late August 2026, various events were organized in Germany to provide information and support regarding Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS).

On August 22, the Deutsche Restless Legs Vereinigung (RLS e. V.) and its Wetterau self-help group hosted an open-air self-help day in Bad Vilbel. The event featured approximately 35 self-help groups and associations from the Wetteraukreis region, aiming to offer insights into research, therapy, and support services for patients and medical professionals.

Following this, on August 29, a lecture was scheduled at the DKD Helios Klinik Wiesbaden. Organized by the Wiesbaden self-help group, the presentation focused on RLS and its connection to comorbid insomnia, featuring contributions from neurologist Dr. med. Laura Bechtholf and Markus Specht.
