Revolut premium membership global and credit expansion

Revolut has expanded its premium service offerings globally, beginning with the launch of its ‘Revolut Ultra’ membership in Singapore. This top-tier plan, priced at S$899 annually, features a platinum-plated debit card and includes benefits such as unlimited airport lounge access, travel insurance with a “cancel for any cause” feature, and various digital service subscriptions. Following this launch, the company experienced significant growth in the Brazilian market through its Ultra card. Although Revolut initially anticipated that low-cost foreign exchange would drive adoption, the product’s rewards program became the primary growth driver. The company reached its three-month sales target for the Ultra card in Brazil within just two weeks, largely due to a high-value points system that offers a one-to-one conversion rate with international airlines. Revolut is now evolving from a travel-focused application into a diversified financial ecosystem, with no single business area accounting for more than 23% of total turnover. In Brazil, the company intends to use the market as a “global laboratory” for developing credit products and risk management capabilities. While currently lending only 3% to 4% of captured deposits, Revolut has expanded credit offerings to eligible customers across all card categories. The company’s revenue model maintains a mix of approximately 70% commissions and 30% interest, with expectations that credit will become a growing revenue component in markets such as Brazil and Mexico.
