Ripple leadership XRP market cap projections

Ripple leadership has shared optimistic projections regarding the long-term market capitalization of XRP.

Initially, former Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz suggested that XRP could potentially overtake Bitcoin in market capitalization. Schwartz attributed this possible “flippening” to the technical advantages of the XRP Ledger, such as its speed, scalability, and utility for cross-border payments, rather than a decline in Bitcoin’s value.

Following these remarks, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expanded on the bullish outlook, suggesting XRP could reach a $10 trillion market capitalization within 10 to 15 years. Garlinghouse cited the expansion of international settlement via blockchain and potential regulatory catalysts, including a pro-crypto stance from the Trump administration and the proposed CLARITY Act, as drivers for institutional adoption.

This $10 trillion valuation would imply a price of approximately $179.50 per token. However, the asset has recently faced short-term market volatility, including a 20% price correction from $1.70 to approximately $1.35. This decline coincided with a significant drop in network activity, where daily active addresses decreased by over 90%, and reports that large holders redistributed roughly 90 million XRP over a one-week period. Technical analysts are currently monitoring the $1.35 level as a critical support zone for potential recovery.
