Road accidents in Ancona
Overview
A series of traffic accidents occurred in the Ancona area in late October 2026.
On October 22, two separate collisions resulted in injuries to two women. The first involved two cars on via Mattei, and the second was a rear-end collision on the Asse. Both women were transported to Torrette hospital with non-serious injuries.
On October 25, two 17-year-old girls were injured when a minicar lost control on wet asphalt near the Tavernelle exit. The vehicle struck a guardrail after swerving across the roadway. While the occupants suggested another vehicle may have struck them, authorities have not confirmed this. The teenagers were treated by emergency responders and taken to Torrette hospital with moderate injuries, including one case of mild head trauma.
