Road maintenance initiatives in Lazio municipalities

Overview

Local administrations in the Lazio region are implementing various road maintenance and infrastructure improvement programs.

In Cerenova and Cerveteri, the “Piano Asfalti 2026” program has resumed following a summer break. This phase involves the complete resurfacing of multiple streets, including via Todi and via Sterpeto in Cerenova, and various sections of via Montegrappa and via di San Paolo in Cerveteri. The project is part of a 950,000 euro contract, continuing an annual asphalt plan established in 2021.

In Viterbo, a separate 2 million euro structural investment plan is being launched to address potholes and improve urban mobility across the city’s 400 km road network. Scheduled interventions include the Almirante bypass, Teverina road, and several other key thoroughfares. To manage traffic during these works, the municipality plans to implement lane narrowings and alternating one-way traffic systems.
