Espanyol striker Roberto Fernández has experienced a significant rise in form during the early stages of the LaLiga season. Following a period of limited success at Sporting de Braga, Fernández began the season with a scoring streak that prompted Espanyol manager Manolo González to suggest the player could be playing for Manchester City by next year if his performance continues. His momentum continued as he reached six goals in his first six league matches.
