Rolling Barrage PTSD awareness motorcycle ride concludes

Overview

The Rolling Barrage Foundation has concluded its 10th annual, coast-to-coast motorcycle ride. The journey, which began in St. John’s, Newfoundland, spanned 10 provinces and lasted approximately 21 days.

The mission of the trek was to raise awareness for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and to fundraise for programs supporting first responders and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The foundation aims to reduce the stigma surrounding PTSD, which affects military members, first responders, and civilians exposed to trauma.

The ride concluded in Aldergrove, British Columbia, with more than 100 riders participating in the final stop. The conclusion featured a salute from the Langley RCMP and a ceremonial flag display by Township firefighters. Local residents and members of the Royal Canadian Legion were present to welcome the group.

Founder Scott Casey credited the success of the cross-country trek to the support of Legion branches across the country and the efforts of the staging teams. Throughout the year, organizations such as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #265 have supported the foundation through donations and raffles to assist those serving domestically and abroad.
