In late July 2026 Rolls‑Royce formalised a MissionCare subcontract with Sabena Technics to sustain the AE 2100D3 turboprop engines on the binational French‑German C‑130J Super Hercules fleet. The agreement covers ten aircraft—five transport C‑130J and five KC‑130J tankers—based at Évreux‑Fauville Air Base, with Rolls‑Royce field service teams stationed in France to maximise engine availability and mission readiness.

A few days later the company highlighted that the same MissionCare deal underpins broader performance gains across its civil‑aerospace division. Enhanced maintenance capacity and a stabilised supply chain have cut aircraft‑on‑ground delays, with large‑engine output up 13 % and refurbishments up 35 % in the first half of 2026. Concurrently, upgraded high‑pressure turbine blades have been installed on Trent 1000 TEN and Trent 7000 fleets, extending time‑on‑wing and supporting a durability programme that aims to double engine life by the end of 2027.
