Commemorations for the 150th anniversary of Constantin Brâncuși’s birth continue through diverse international and domestic initiatives. The ‘Brâncuși 150’ project, led by the Inter-Art Aiud Foundation, featured a documentary film at the Bucharest International Air Show 2026, highlighting simultaneous exhibitions across 21 countries. In Romania, initiatives have expanded to include a leather accessory collection by Florina Soul in Peștișani and a world premiere of 40 photographs at Art Safari. Târgu Jiu remains a central hub. From October 21 to 26, the city hosted the ‘Philosophy of Form’ international conference under the patronage of UNESCO and the President of Romania. This coincided with the exhibition ‘Brâncuși. Photography. The Invisible Studio’ at Pavilion Art 360, featuring 33 rare photographs from the David Grob collection and a camera used by the artist. Internationally, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York is hosting ‘Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio’, an exhibition focusing on the artist’s Paris studio and his revolutionary approach to modern sculpture.
