President Dan has noted that for the first time, the day is being celebrated collectively across Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine, serving as a vital connection for the more than 30 million speakers worldwide, including the diaspora in cities like London, Madrid, Rome, and Paris.

Following a decree by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, official celebrations are also held in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. These festivities, which include musical performances and literary events, signal a synchronized celebration across the three nations. Additionally, Romania observes Romanian Diplomacy Day on September 1, honoring the state's international representation, a tradition with roots dating back to the Middle Ages.
