Romanian road fatal accidents

On DN 58B near Berzovia in Caraș‑Severin County, a head‑on crash between a car and a truck caused the car driver to be found carbonised and die, with the truck driver injured. On August 8, further incidents were reported across Romania. In Caraș‑Severin on DN 58, a head‑on collision between a car and a truck occurred during an attempted overtaking maneuver; the car driver was found carbonized after both vehicles caught fire, while the truck driver sustained injuries. In Suceava, a 23-year-old motorcyclist died while operating an unregistered vehicle without a license. Other accidents included a truck losing control and crashing into residential properties in Vaslui, causing property damage. A collision between a car and a bus in Sibiu injured four people, including a minor. Additionally, on August 8, a driver in Rădăești struck a bridge abutment, leaving four people injured, including two in deep comas. Other reported incidents included a truck overturning on DN 73 near Clucereasa. Further casualties on August 8 included a cyclist killed in an automobile collision on DN 7 in Argeș and a fatal collision on DN 6 near Armeniș. In Vaslui, a truck from the Republic of Moldova crashed into two homes in Berezeni, causing significant property damage but no civilian casualties, though the driver was injured.
