Ronan O'Gara contract extension at Stade Rochelais

Overview

Stade Rochelais has announced that head coach Ronan O’Gara has extended his contract until June 2031. O’Gara, who has been with the club since 2019 and leading the first team since 2021, aims to provide long-term stability for the club’s sporting project.

Under his leadership, the club secured consecutive Champions Cup titles in 2022 and 2023. Following recent challenges in European competition, club president Vincent Merling and management reaffirmed their confidence in the coach.

Squad members have noted an evolution in O’Gara’s tactical approach. Captain Grégory Alldritt highlighted the coach’s ability to adapt his philosophy and introduce novelty to training, including a more modern management style that utilizes increased squad rotation to maintain player freshness.
