Five days later, on 27 July, Royal Mail confirmed that delays persisted but impacted a smaller set of 90 postcodes, such as Gloucester and locations in Merseyside. The same local issues were identified as the cause, and the carrier continued to rotate staff and provide targeted support. In the week preceding the second notice, Royal Mail introduced a redesigned delivery card with a QR code to let customers track parcels in real time via its app or website. The situation shows a continued but slightly reduced pattern of postcode‑specific disruptions as the postal service works to restore normal service.
