Putin responded that Russia is moving in the direction of ending the conflict, though he provided no specific timeline or terms. Recent reports from The Economist suggest that Putin faces significant internal pressure and personal security concerns, reportedly telling associates, “I will be hanged,” if the war ends without achieving minimum objectives such as the capture of the Donbas region.
