Ryanair Polish network adjustments 2026

In July 2026 Ryanair announced a major expansion of its operations at Gdańsk Airport, adding two aircraft and launching eight new routes to destinations such as Agadir, Porto, Turin and Milan‑Malpensa. The carrier also increased winter‑season seat capacity by 31 % and projected over 3 million passengers through Gdańsk in 2027. At the same time, Air Arabia withdrew its Sharjah‑Modlin service after a February airspace shutdown linked to a U.S.–Israel attack on Iran.

A few weeks later, in August 2026, Ryanair reversed part of its Polish growth by cutting roughly 15 weekly flights across Łódź, Katowice, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań and Warsaw‑Modlin, and by withdrawing five aircraft from its Brussels‑Charleroi base. Concurrently, the airline opened a new direct service from Kraków‑Balice to Rabat, Morocco, marking the first regular Poland‑Morocco connection.

These moves illustrate Ryanair’s rapid rebalancing of its Polish route network, expanding in the north while trimming elsewhere and adding a new long‑haul link.
