S. Pellegrino Young Chef Academy regional qualifications
Overview
The S. Pellegrino Young Chef Academy competition has announced various regional finalists for the 2026-2027 cycle.
In the Southeast Europe and Mediterranean region, three Slovenian chefs—Aljaž Resnik, Jure Korent Vodnik, and Matija Cotič—have qualified for the regional final in Bucharest. Additionally, former MasterChef winner Bruno Šulman will represent Denmark in the Northern Europe regional final, while chef Ana Roš Stojan has been named to the grand final judging panel in Milan for 2027.
In the Latin American and Caribbean region, 15 chefs were selected from over 170 participants to advance to the regional final in Panama. Representing Costa Rica are Mauro Jiménez Togas and Allan Flores, while Mexico will be represented by Rodrigo Pacheco Reyes and Kevin Chávez Cazarin. The selection process for these finalists focused on technical skill, creativity, sustainability, and personal vision.
