Saint Martin Street Name Day celebrations in Poznań

Overview

Poznań is organizing its 32nd annual Saint Martin Street Name Day celebrations, scheduled for November 11 to coincide with Poland’s National Independence Day.

The festivities will center on the intersection of Saint Martin Street and Independence Avenue, featuring a traditional colorful procession. This year, approximately 300 participants from 24 organizations, including schools and musical ensembles, will participate in the parade. A key highlight involves the Mayor of Poznań symbolically handing over the keys to the city to Saint Martin, who will then lead the procession through the city center.

In addition to the parade, the event will include a festive town with a market for local handicrafts and traditional St. Martin croissants. Musical performances are planned for the main stage at Adam Mickiewicz Square, featuring artists such as Smolik, Kev Fox, and headliner Katarzyna Nosowska. For the first time, the parade will also be accessible via online viewing.
